About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Patient Engagement Manager Epilepsy to join our ABN (Alps, Benelux & Nordics) Epilepsy Team in the Netherlands.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the market and identifying and supporting patients for the Therapeutic Area (TA) where you are responsible for in the Netherlands. You will work closely with patients, caregivers, health care professionals, and other stakeholders to understand the challenges of patients living with severe epilepsy.

You will develop valuable solutions that aim to improve the lives of these patients and their caregivers. You will lead and execute on these solutions and ensure they are aligned with UCB's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and implement local patient initiatives based on insights obtained, including awareness campaigns, patient information materials, and local events.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including patients, patient associations, and health care professionals.
  • Partner with patient associations to gather insights and identify common strategic pillars.
  • Partner with external networks, including nurse specialists and health care professionals, to gather insights and identify patient initiatives.
  • Ensure initiatives, tactics, and activities planned in the local Brand Plan are in line with patients' needs.
Requirements
  • Several years of work experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences is required for the role.
  • Working with an empathetic mindset and a passion to improve the lives of patients is essential.
  • A proactive work ethos and the ability to challenge the status quo are necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization, and clear communication are required.
  • Experience in leading larger projects is a plus.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
