We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Advisory Expert to join our Credit Transformation Office at ABN Amro. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our credit lifecycle processes are regulatory compliant and efficient.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a clear vision for regulatory compliant and efficient credit lifecycle processes based on client needs, regulatory requirements, and findings.
- Identify gaps between the current state and the desired vision, and provide expert advice on suitable solutions for gap closure.
- Understand the background of ECB observations/findings from a regulatory perspective and ensure a common understanding within ABN Amro.
- Assess solutions based on signals during the OSI and expert opinions, and define a direction that addresses observations, including achievable vs. initiative delivering and timelines.
- Define the proper action owner based on the chosen solution, in alignment with responsible recommendation owners.
- Ensure mitigants/risk acceptances are in place where required.
- Identify root causes of deficiencies in credit risk processes/dependencies and synergies across findings and new regulations/propose sequencing of solutioning to actively resolve them.
- Ensure external deadlines are feasible based on insight into implementation of solutions.
- Maintain a high level of combined regulatory and operational knowledge of lending to handle complex compliance issues, findings, and changes in a timely manner.
- Bring in best practices based on deep understanding of market developments.
The Credit Transformation Office oversees change initiatives that are responsible for building a future-proof and robust credit landscape. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that our credit lifecycle processes are regulatory compliant and efficient, and we are looking for a highly skilled Regulatory Advisory Expert to join us.
Requirements- Proactive, entrepreneurial, and change-driven individual with in-depth regulatory expertise.
- Experience with bank policies and regulations in the field of credit risk and ability to translate these into requirements.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Strongly developed risk mindset, e.g., first line of defense principle.
- At least 5-7 years of experience.
- Eager to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Gross monthly salary based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- Benefit Budget of 11% of your salary, allowing you to acquire additional employment benefits.
- Five weeks of vacation per year, with the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
