About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Excellence Specialist to join our Trading and Supply team. As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless alignment between all trading and supply commercial and operational activities, enabling the best commercial decisions to be made and executed on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assure the optimized operational plan gets executed, working closely with logistics (marine and land) and manufacturing sites to understand and resolve any deviations from plan.
  • Develop scenarios to assess feasibility and economic outcomes of various supply options to mitigate supply disruptions and its financial impact.
  • Analyze performance data (inventory levels, customer lifting, data quality) using available platforms such as salesforce, Power BI or transport management systems TMS, and identify and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to drive performance and value.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of ways of working with subject matter experts (SME), as well as collaborate with SME to implement improvements in own area of responsibility.
  • Drive and promote disciplined execution among stakeholders, ensuring focus on the end-to-end mindset and value delivery in the planning process.
  • Act in accordance with Shell's Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) guidelines and understand impact of HSSE requirements on own business. Proactively monitor customer's HSSE needs and practices.

Requirements

We are looking for a strong interpersonal skills along with negotiations and stakeholder management skills. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in the field of Maritime Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics or Shipping is required. Proven experiences in Commodity operations or a similar operational role are preferred. Ideally you have some experience with Petroleum and/or renewable products. Fluency in Dutch and English combined with another language like German, French or Spanish is a must.
