Position Location
This role is based in our Fabric & Home Care Innovation Center.
Core Responsibilities
In the role of Fragrance Innovation Specialist, you will be tasked with defining and executing strategies for product development that yield distinctive and consumer-relevant fragrance solutions tailored for the global fabric care market.
Your primary resource will be consumer intelligence, which will guide your response to both external and internal opportunities for product and process development. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance existing capabilities and explore new consumer and customer solutions, developing innovative fragrance themes, technologies, and processes. Additionally, you will oversee project resources to ensure timely delivery and adherence to investment guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Innovation & Leadership
• Lead creative initiatives on global innovation projects aimed at developing and implementing fragrance strategies.
• Align market, customer, and consumer insights to identify and recommend competitive product solutions that drive business outcomes.
• Collaborate with diverse teams (including perfumers, technical/R&D, and marketing) to identify challenges and opportunities, fostering the development of new fragrance solutions.
• Manage programs with significant technical components related to fragrance technologies and formulations.
• Inspire teams to discover new consumer solutions and development methodologies.
• Formulate a consumer insights strategy to gain a competitive edge and create consumer-relevant solutions.
• Identify gaps and opportunities to inform technical/R&D briefings.
Project Management
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure fragrance strategies align with overarching business goals.
• Drive effective execution and maintain a disciplined approach to accelerate market entry.
• Monitor project outcomes and adapt strategies as necessary.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape to define competitive solutions.
• Ensure global visibility, both internally and externally.
Knowledge Management
• Share insights and knowledge actively to empower teams.
• Document learning and insights, presenting market trends and fragrance solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
People Management
• Foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Build strong relationships with global teams and stakeholders.
• Take charge of your professional development by collaborating with your manager to establish clear objectives and a personal development plan.
Qualifications
• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a fragrance house or consumer goods company, preferably in an international context.
• Experience in the Fabric Care category is advantageous.
• Strong olfactory skills; olfactory assessment will be part of the selection process.
