Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our Scent division in Scent Design for the fabric care category. As a Scent Design Associate Innovation, you will be responsible for defining and executing product development strategies that lead to differentiating consumer relevant fragrance solutions for the global fabric care market.

Your Focus

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and executing product development strategies that lead to differentiating consumer relevant fragrance solutions for the global fabric care market.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to build and further strengthen existing and new IFF capabilities.
  • Exploring and identifying consumer and customer solutions and developing new fragrance themes, fragrance technologies, and development processes.
  • Managing project resources to meet deadlines and investment parameters.
Key Responsibilities

As a Scent Design Associate Innovation, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading global innovation projects to develop and implement innovative fragrance development strategies.
  • Connecting market, customer, and consumer needs to identify, develop, and/or recommend competitive product solutions to drive business results.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to uncover challenges and opportunities and develop new fragrance solutions and capabilities.
  • Managing programs with high technical content linked to fragrance technologies and ingredients and/or product base formulations.
  • Ideation: stimulating teams in finding new consumer solutions and development processes.
  • Consumer Insights strategy: defining what to learn from consumers to gain competitive advantage and build consumer relevant solutions and value propositions.
  • Identifying gaps and opportunities to feed into technical/R&D briefings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's or Bachelor degree, preferably in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, or business.
  • Minimum 2-3 years working experience (fragrance house or consumer goods company), in an international environment.
  • Fabric Care category experience is a plus.
  • Excellent olfactive capabilities; olfactive assessment is part of the selection process.
