Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to assist in the development and management of innovative projects in the field of communication systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to various aspects of research and development, particularly focusing on satellite communication technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid in the preparation of tender invitations related to research and development initiatives;
  • Facilitate the oversight of industrial R&D projects, specifically in the domains of satellite modem physical and link layer analysis, design, prototyping, and testing;
  • Conduct in-depth technical analyses on future satellite communication systems, emphasizing network design considerations;
  • Assist in formulating technology roadmaps for R&D in telecommunications systems and networks.

Required Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, with a focus on digital transmission from both physical and MAC layer perspectives;
  • A robust technical foundation in telecommunication engineering, along with a comprehensive understanding of relevant communication protocols;
  • Familiarity with major satellite and terrestrial telecom standards is advantageous, as is experience in hardware prototyping and testing of communication systems (e.g., FPGA, DSP, GPU, micro-processors);
  • Extensive technical knowledge in the design of telecommunication networks, particularly concerning physical and link layers, and a solid grasp of multiple access telecommunication protocols;
  • Proficiency in communication simulation software tools (e.g., Matlab, C++) and commercial simulators (STK, OPNET, NS-3) is essential;
  • A few years of relevant work experience in complex digital communication systems, subsystems, and networks is preferred;
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of an additional European language is a plus.
