We are seeking a dedicated professional to support our Agile Release Train team in achieving a comprehensive DevOps methodology.

As a Cloud Operations Specialist, you will act as a bridge between business analysts and external vendors. Collaborating with your team, you will devise solutions to address business challenges associated with our cloud and on-premises environments. Your role will involve hands-on implementation of these solutions while evolving into an architectural mindset. You will work closely with business stakeholders to validate solutions and celebrate successful deployments.
After deployment, you will continue to support the solutions you have developed, ensuring that our guests and employees enjoy a seamless experience.
Your unique skill set includes automation expertise and proficiency in modern cloud platforms, particularly Azure. You will become the primary resource for all aspects of our cloud implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the planning, design, and execution phases for various releases and builds.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance our Azure infrastructure and execution capabilities.
  • Monitor vendor performance metrics and service levels within your area of responsibility.
  • Implement Azure services and configurations, as well as develop Azure DevOps pipelines and scripts.
  • Create and maintain documentation for implementation and support processes, including scripts, service configurations, automation workflows, architectural diagrams, and testing specifications.
  • Provide second and third-line support and manage incidents related to your area.
  • Participate in daily operational requests for the configuration and administration of agile tools (including but not limited to New Relic, JIRA, and Slack).

Qualifications / Skills

  • A strong enthusiasm for technology in both personal and professional contexts.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Proven experience in DevOps practices on Azure, with relevant certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fields related to DevOps and cloud computing.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services, Azure DevOps pipelines, JSON APIs, SQL, authentication methods, automation, and ARM scripting.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as CI/CD, SDLC, IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS.
  • Experience with tools like New Relic, JIRA, and Slack is highly advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within team environments.
  • Capacity to learn from challenges encountered during teamwork.
  • Strong communication skills to navigate complex internal and external structures.
  • Self-motivated with strategic reasoning abilities, capable of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Experience with integrations and API consumption is a plus.
  • Familiarity with complex networking and integration infrastructure is beneficial.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English.

Work Environment

This position is based in our support office. Hybrid working arrangements are available, requiring attendance in the office twice a week. This role is intended as a maternity leave cover.
