In the role of a DevOps Engineer, you will act as a crucial link between business analysts and external vendors. Collaborating with your team, you will devise solutions to address business challenges related to our builds and our cloud and on-premises environments. Your involvement will span the entire implementation process, allowing you to engage hands-on while evolving your architectural skills. You will work closely with business stakeholders to validate solutions and celebrate successful deployments.
After deployment, you will continue to support the solutions you have developed, ensuring that the experiences of our guests and employees are seamless and enjoyable.
Your unique ability to automate processes and leverage modern cloud technologies, particularly Azure, will make you the go-to expert for all aspects of our cloud implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the planning, design, and execution of various releases and builds.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to shape the Azure landscape and enhance our operational capabilities.
  • Monitor vendor performance metrics and maintain service level agreements in your area.
  • Implement Azure services and configurations, as well as develop Azure DevOps pipelines and scripts.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for implementation and support processes, including scripts, service configurations, automated releases, architectural diagrams, and testing specifications.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support and manage incidents in your domain.
  • Participate in daily operational requests for configuration and administration of agile tools (including but not limited to New Relic, JIRA, Slack).

Qualifications / Skills

  • A strong enthusiasm for technology in both personal and professional contexts.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Proven experience in DevOps practices on Azure, supported by relevant qualifications.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fields related to DevOps and cloud computing.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Azure services, Azure DevOps pipelines, JSON APIs, SQL, authentication methods, automation, and ARM scripting.
  • Familiarity with concepts like CI/CD, SDLC, IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS.
  • Experience with tools like New Relic, JIRA, and Slack is highly advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within team structures.
  • Capacity to learn from challenges encountered during teamwork.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of navigating complex internal and external environments.
  • Self-motivated with mature strategic reasoning, able to take ownership and drive results.
  • Experience with integrations and API consumption is a plus.
  • Familiarity with complex networking and integration infrastructure is beneficial.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English.

Work Environment

This position is based in a support office with hybrid working options available. This role is a maternity leave cover.
