Job DescriptionIn this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of short-term business needs with long-term strategic goals, creating architectural designs that meet KPN's objectives. You will provide high-level estimates and guide DevOps teams from our partner (Tech Mahindra) in building future-proof solutions.
- Create clear architectural drawings and guidelines so that the business, network engineers, DevOps teams and management can clearly understand how short term solutions and long term architecture are aligned.
- Provide strategic input to management and steer solution teams to deliver impactful, efficient designs.
- Align with stakeholders across business, network department, and strategy to ensure consistency and clarity in projects.
- Guide and support DevOps teams from our partner to ensure the designs adhere to the architecture and strategy.
- Incorporate feedback from various stakeholders into the architecture, refining and improving the solutions over time.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- An MSc degree or equivalent experience in IT or Telecommunications architecture
- Experience with IT/Telecommunications architecture and a deep understanding of business processes
- Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels
- Knowledge of KPN policies, including security, data, and cloud guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus
As a valued member of our team, you can expect:
- A gross monthly salary ranging from €5,742 to €8,865, depending on your work experience, based on a 40-hour workweek.
- A guaranteed 13th-month bonus, part of which is paid monthly and the rest in January of the following year.
- Annual individual and collective raises according to our collective labor agreement (CAO)
- An annual employability budget of €1,500 that you can use as you wish for training, coaching, and courses

- Home office support to optimize your workspace, including a mobile phone and laptop
- 50% discount on our products and services, giving you affordable internet, phone, and streaming services
- Excellent commuting reimbursement: full coverage for public transport costs or €0.23 per kilometer if you travel by car. Prefer to bike? You can claim our cycling allowance of €0.40 per kilometer
- Option to purchase a leased bicycle, with KPN contributing monthly (available with a permanent contract): choose from city bikes, e-bikes, racing bikes, or speed pedelecs
- Outstanding pension plan: a total contribution of 23% of your pensionable salary, with KPN covering 16% and you covering 7%
