About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Application Specialist to join our team at Damen Naval. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the engineering functionalities in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform: Teamcenter, with a special focus on the connected Teamcenter Reporting & Analytics application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate engineering business process needs into functional specifications for application developments
  • Analyze issues collaboratively with stakeholders and devise solutions
  • Develop and implement application processes and functionalities
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners
  • Manage interfaces between applications and Teamcenter/TCRA
  • Maintain user access rights administration within the application
  • Setup and configure project environments within Teamcenter and TCRA
  • Organize application-related training courses in coordination with the Manager Engineering Support
  • Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users with regards to Teamcenter
  • Prepare and develop Teamcenter/TCRA training materials, tips, application documentation, and user manuals
  • Develop and maintain specific tools to support special needs for Engineering
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering
  • Proficiency with Teamcenter & TCRA applications (software)
  • Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management
  • Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous
  • Ability to work in Vlissingen and Schiedam locations, in The Netherlands
  • Skilled in working with Microsoft Excel and preferably good knowledge of VBA (coding)
  • Excellent references and antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects
