The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Steward to join our Damen Data Services team. As a Data Steward, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and governance of data assets within the Business Partners domain. This includes working closely with data & analytic teams, business stakeholders, and digital & IT professionals to establish and maintain data standards, quality, policies, and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data quality rules to ensure data is deemed fit for purpose
  • Identify, report, analyze, and resolve data issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement data management strategies, policies, and governance frameworks
  • Conduct data profiling and analysis to assess data quality, completeness, and accuracy
  • Implement and monitor data governance processes, including data access controls, data retention policies, and data life cycle management
  • Develop data governance training programs to increase data literacy and educate stakeholders on data management practices
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in master data management, data analytics, data engineering, or a related area
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data analytics, software engineering, information technology, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of data management concepts, data governance frameworks, and data quality principles
  • Proficiency in data profiling and data analysis techniques using tools like SQL, Excel, or data profiling software
