Job Summary

The Air Operations Associate Gateway role is a key position within Maersk, responsible for driving Air growth and profitability in the Gateway. This individual will translate global strategy and initiatives into Gateway Product, Carrier, and Performance plans, ensuring their execution and providing support with expertise and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute operational activities related to Air Gateway Operations, including file management and operations activities.
  • Act as the owner of the job file, creating and updating shipping documents, milestones, and customer invoices in the system.
  • Coordinate closely with customers, customer care team, pricing team, and other stakeholders to provide best-in-class service.
  • Identify and share market trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
  • Support the execution of global initiatives and strategy within the Country, Area, and Global Network.
  • Maintain carrier relations and support the Regional function.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and own customer experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of export/gateway operational experience.
  • Airfreight forwarding experience required.
  • Experience with an airfreight management system is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Drive for results and reaching KPIs.
  • Ability to solve issues.
  • Well-organized under pressure.
  • Team player.
  • Cross-cultural awareness.
  • Fluent English.
  • Availability to work from Schipol.
  • Able to provide VGB.
