ASML's Development & Engineering sector is responsible for the specification, design, and realization of all products in the ASML portfolio. Within this sector, the Light Sources group is responsible for developing light sources for ASML metrology and control systems that ensure optimal overlay, focus, and throughput performance of ASML machines. As an Optical Systems Specialist, you will be a key player in a multidisciplinary environment that further develops current and next-generation light sources for metrology and control systems within our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Definition of specifications for Light Sources submodules to meet system performance requirements
- Generate effective and creative optical solutions for improving light source performance
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality of outsourced developments
- Experimental analysis and modeling of optical light source system performance
- Development of opto-mechanical tools required during installation and setup of the light source
- Calibration and testing of optical light sources in our lithography systems
- Modeling and experimental verification of light source performance
- Support production of these sources and their use by final customers
Requirements
- Talented MSc or PhD candidates with 3+ years of industry experience and working in multidisciplinary teams
- Solid knowledge in photonics, free space optics, fiber optics, and lasers
- Experienced with optical simulation tools ZEMAX and/or Code V
- Experienced with data analysis, MATLAB knowledge preferred
- Experienced with supplier collaborations
- Defining, implementing, and testing CTQs, optical system failure modes, and safety measures including means and methods on how to measure and optimize
- Hands-on experience with building, operating, and troubleshooting optical test setups preferred
