About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Siemens in The Hague. As a Project Engineer Busbar - Electrical, you will be responsible for designing rail channel systems that handle critical energy distribution in data centers.

Your role will be dynamic and multifaceted, involving electrical engineering of designs, developing technical designs in a 3D environment, and resolving issues related to layout, component selection, fire safety, mechanical interfacing, electrical auxiliary systems, and cabling.

You will also coordinate with colleagues on the design of low-voltage distributors, medium-voltage systems, or E-houses, review technical basic and detailed designs, and maintain proactive communication with customers, considering commercial aspects.

Additionally, you will organize and attend factory acceptance tests (FAT) with customers, prepare documentation, provide office support during assembly and commissioning, manage punch lists, and ensure smooth project closure.

Requirements

  • An HBO degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering (ideally in an international project setting).
  • Accuracy, critical thinking, and broad technical interest.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Flexibility, practicality, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and engagement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; Dutch is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work on-site at customers' and production locations, both in the Netherlands and abroad, for short periods.
