The RoleWe are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our engineering team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the engineering process and output within your discipline, ensuring a smooth building process. You will manage an engineering team and engineering partners, maintain contact with the client, and ensure that the building yard has all the required information and necessary approvals are attained.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an engineering team with engineers/lead engineers for the shipbuilding disciplines and support staff;
- Provide technical support on projects when needed;
- Manage Budget, Planning, Quality, and Risks with regard to the engineering of vessels;
- Contact with the client and manager outsourcing of engineering work;
- Manage the integration of purchased systems, equipment, and interfacing with other disciplines;
- Implement (standard) work processes in your project and organize review moments;
- Ensure a good working environment and team spirit;
- Participate in engineering where required;
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture;
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in maritime engineering;
- Experience with standardized shipbuilding and series construction;
- Familiarity with Rules and Regulations and ability to interpret and translate them;
- Experience with software packages such as AutoCAD and Nupas-Cadmatic;
- English is a must, Dutch is a plus;
