Junior Project Manager Engineering Shipbuilding

We are seeking a skilled Junior Project Manager Engineering Shipbuilding to join our team at Damen Shipyards. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing the engineering process and output within your discipline, ensuring a smooth building process.
About the Role
The Junior Project Manager Engineering Shipbuilding will be responsible for managing an engineering team and engineering partners, maintaining contact with the client or their representatives, and ensuring that the building yard has all the required information and necessary approvals are attained.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an engineering team with engineers/lead engineers for the shipbuilding disciplines and support staff;
- Provide technical support on projects when needed or asked for;
- Manage Budget, Planning, Quality, and Risks with regard to the engineering of vessels;
- Manage the integration of purchased systems, equipment, and the interfacing with other disciplines;
- Implement (standard) work processes in your project, organize review moments, and preparation of status reports;
- Ensure a good working environment and team spirit.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and at least 1 year of relevant work experience with maritime engineering in the maritime sector. Preferably, you have experience with standardized shipbuilding and series construction, familiarity with the Rules and Regulations, and experience with software packages such as AutoCAD and Nupas-Cadmatic.
