Job Title: PhD Researcher in Explainability and Fairness of Large Language Models
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our research team at Eindhoven University of Technology. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a philosophical framework to ensure and evaluate the explainability and fairness of Large Language Models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a philosophical framework to ensure and evaluate the explainability and fairness of Large Language Models
- Apply methods from philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, and ethics to recent work in artificial intelligence, psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, and/or related disciplines
- Collaborate with industrial partners and contribute to the development of AI systems that align with human values
Requirements:
- Bachelor and/or master's degree in philosophy, and additional formal training in computer science, cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, or a closely related discipline
- Not own a doctoral degree at the date of recruitment
- Be able to work in an interdisciplinary team and interested in collaborating with industrial partners
- Be motivated to develop their teaching skills and coach students
- Be fluent in spoken and written English (C1 level)
