About the Role

This position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced geotechnical software at Seequent. As a Research Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the robustness and reliability of our geotechnical aspects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and validation of advanced soil/rock geotechnical features or tools
  • Develop and maintain test coverage of geotechnical features
  • Formulate and document benchmarks and case studies
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of product feature specifications
  • Collaborate with the Support team to respond to complex user queries
  • Contribute to internal and external activities for knowledge and expertise sharing
  • Co-author technical papers for conference proceedings or international journal publication
  • Engage with a network of experts to collaborate on research and development
Requirements
  • Academic background in Geotechnical engineering or a related field
  • Clear research interest in numerical modeling with a drive to apply it in engineering practice
  • Strong drive to work with a diverse team to deliver high-quality software
  • Practical experience using PLAXIS or other geotechnical modeling packages
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work autonomously as well as in a team
