Role Responsibilities
As a Fragrance Innovation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing strategies for product development that lead to unique and consumer-relevant fragrance solutions for the global fabric care market.
Your work will involve leveraging consumer insights to identify opportunities for product and process development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing capabilities and explore new fragrance themes and technologies. Effective project management will be essential to ensure timely delivery and adherence to investment parameters.
Key Duties
Innovation & Leadership
• Lead global innovation initiatives to formulate and implement cutting-edge fragrance development strategies.
• Align market, customer, and consumer insights to propose competitive product solutions that drive business success.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including perfumers and R&D specialists, to address challenges and seize opportunities in fragrance development.
• Manage complex programs associated with fragrance technologies and formulations.
• Foster ideation within teams to discover new consumer solutions and development methodologies.
• Develop a consumer insights strategy to gain a competitive edge and create valuable consumer-centric solutions.
• Identify gaps and opportunities to inform technical and R&D briefs.
Project Management
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure fragrance strategies align with overarching business goals.
• Drive disciplined processes and effective execution to achieve rapid market entry.
• Monitor project outcomes and adapt strategies as necessary to ensure success.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics to define competitive solutions.
• Ensure global visibility of projects both internally and externally.
Knowledge Sharing
• Actively disseminate information and insights to empower teams to excel.
• Document learnings and insights, sharing market trends and fragrance solutions with relevant stakeholders.
Team Development
• Promote a culture of continuous learning within the organization.
• Build strong relationships with global teams and internal customers.
• Take charge of your professional growth by collaborating with your manager to establish clear objectives and a personal development plan.
Qualifications
• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a fragrance house or consumer goods company, preferably in an international context.
• Experience in the Fabric Care category is advantageous.
• Strong olfactory skills; olfactory assessment will be part of the selection process.
