Import Coordinator

This role is responsible for the processing of import shipments and related activities for an assigned base of accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process import documentation for an assigned base of accounts.
  • Obtain and process Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate.
  • Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problem or irregularities.
  • Provide client service by informing the client of the status of their shipment(s).
  • Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, customs, or other governmental agency examinations.
  • Update key milestones in a timely manner based on customer needs.
  • Be available in a shift pattern, including weekends and evenings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to client needs.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using EU currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require extended sitting or standing and use of standard office equipment.
