IT Specialist for Europe Operations

Job Overview
As a Computer Vision Analyst, you will assess the existing workflow for image collection, whether from physical or digital documents, and investigate various methods to capture package images from operational sites for subsequent processing. This role provides the chance to visit key operational and distribution centers, allowing you to engage directly with the processes and contribute as a solution-oriented professional utilizing GenAI or other AI/ML methodologies. Each project will necessitate a unique combination of tools and algorithms. What will you select? What will guide your decisions? The solutions you develop must be adaptable, enabling their application across diverse business processes and operational contexts while ensuring seamless integration with other systems. How will you achieve this? Consider merging traditional computer vision techniques with Large Language Models and Artificial Intelligence to validate images and documents, identify discrepancies, alert operations to address these issues, and implement predictive strategies to avert potential problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine the optimal methods for sourcing images for processing.
- Analyze available tools, libraries, and algorithms to identify the most effective solution.
- Design an interface for the proposed solutions to ensure integration and communication with other systems.
- Evaluate the accuracy and quality of the proposed solutions.
- Develop a working Proof-of-Concept for each business case.
- Collaborate with software engineers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for solution enhancements, propose system modifications, and implement these changes.
Required Technical and Business Skills:
- Expertise in computer vision tools and algorithms.
- Strong analytical skills for data collection, measurement, organization, and analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, Java, and Python.
- Technical knowledge in database design, data modeling, data mining techniques, and segmentation.
- Experience in reporting and dashboard creation using Power BI, Looker, and familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.

- Handover of all deliverables, including project documentation and developed software, to UPS as Intellectual Property.
- Opportunity to present project outcomes to the management team and mentors at the conclusion of the internship (optional).
