Job Overview

This role is part of the business development team at Avantium's R&D Solutions (RDS) department. As a Business Development Manager, you will spearhead our efforts in identifying and securing business opportunities specifically in custom-made test units for green hydrogen technologies including PEM, Alkaline, AEM, AEL, and Solid Oxide with main focus on PEM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic account plans to ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Generate and manage leads and negotiate to successful conclusion.
  • Forge and maintain high-level relationships within the industry, influencing key stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Conduct market analyses and negotiate contracts, focusing on our offerings in electrolysis and related technologies.
Requirements

This role is perfect for you if you have:

  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering or similar industry experience.
  • Proven experience in a client-facing role within the chemical/renewables industry.
  • Experience in sales of custom-made (lab) equipment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent networking, presentation, and influencing abilities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
