The company is best known for its PEF (polyethylene furanoate) – a fully plant-based, sustainable plastic material – that can be used in packaging, textiles, film, and everyday items that match today's world.
Job OverviewThis role is part of the business development team at Avantium's R&D Solutions (RDS) department. As a Business Development Manager, you will spearhead our efforts in identifying and securing business opportunities specifically in custom-made test units for green hydrogen technologies including PEM, Alkaline, AEM, AEL, and Solid Oxide with main focus on PEM.
Key Responsibilities- Develop strategic account plans to ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
- Generate and manage leads and negotiate to successful conclusion.
- Forge and maintain high-level relationships within the industry, influencing key stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities.
- Conduct market analyses and negotiate contracts, focusing on our offerings in electrolysis and related technologies.
This role is perfect for you if you have:
- Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering or similar industry experience.
- Proven experience in a client-facing role within the chemical/renewables industry.
- Experience in sales of custom-made (lab) equipment.
- Strong commercial acumen and consultative selling skills.
- Excellent networking, presentation, and influencing abilities.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
