Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Global Transportation to lead our transportation operations globally. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex transportation networks, negotiating with carriers, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global transportation strategies to ensure seamless execution and cost containment.
  • Manage a team of transportation professionals to ensure effective carrier relationships, rate negotiations, and freight bill audit and pay.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create and maintain flexible transportation capabilities that meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, regardless of region of operation.
  • Drive cost containment through provider rationalization, utilization, mode, and service level optimization.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in global transportation, covering all major modes (Truck, LTL, parcel, ocean, rail), warehouse shipping/receiving, technology (TMS) implementation and use, and integration with other supply chain systems.
  • Minimum 10 years of supervisory or management experience, including leading teams of 50+ and standard work development.
  • Master's Degree in Organization Development or related field.
