Organisational Context:
The European Financial and Economic Crime Centre, Operations Directorate, is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst to support the Operational Task Force. The Operational Task Force is a temporary group of experts from Europol and participating Member States, working together to combat serious and organised crime.
Job Purpose:
The Senior Intelligence Analyst will contribute to the activities defined within the operational plan of the Operational Task Force. This includes identifying the network of High Value Targets, elaborating criminal intelligence, and drafting intelligence reports to support the gathering of criminal evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify the network of High Value Targets investigated within the OTF.
- Elaborate criminal intelligence to be shared with relevant EU Member States and other countries, respecting data protection requirements.
- Draft intelligence reports to support the gathering of criminal evidence.
- Coordinate with relevant Authorities on investigation activities and actions related to cases under the OTF.
- Promote information exchange between Europol and concerned Member States/Third parties to enhance the situational picture on serious and organised crime affecting the EU.
- Support relevant investigations from Europol headquarters or any other relevant location when required.
Requirements:
- Be a member of a competent authority in the meaning of the Article 2a) of the Europol Regulation and enjoy full rights as a citizen of a Member State.
- Produce evidence of a thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the European Union and of a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the European Union.
- Have at least three years of professional experience in the field of law enforcement, relevant to the duties to be carried out during the short-term secondment.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in financial investigation and organised crime.
- Be a member of a competent authority of a participating Member State of the OTF.
- Ability to provide security clearance at the required level at the start of the secondment.
- Have direct access to relevant national databases of the seconding authority, subject to applicable law and MS authorisation.
Working Conditions:
The Senior Intelligence Analyst will work under the supervision of the Head of Unit O5-1 and Head of Team, O5-11. The position requires close cooperation with the Liaison Bureaux at Europol and via them with the Operational Teams in the Member States.
