Healthcare Sector Relationship Manager

The Telecom, Media, Technology & Healthcare sector team presents an exciting opportunity for a driven professional in an international setting. This team is a global specialist unit within ING Wholesale Banking, dedicated to providing financial services and intricate solutions to companies in telecommunications, media, entertainment, technology, satellite, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals worldwide. As a relationship manager based in Amsterdam, you will be instrumental in nurturing our connections with corporate clients across the Netherlands and the broader EMEA region, with a particular emphasis on the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Your role will encompass managing client relationships for your assigned portfolio and supporting the international network with your sector knowledge. You will oversee deal flow and lead teams on transactions that significantly impact our clients. Collaboration with colleagues in various locations, as well as with product specialists and local relationship managers throughout ING, will be essential. Your main responsibilities will include:
Establishing and nurturing client relationships while maintaining ongoing communication with leaders in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Enhancing your knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, taking the lead on specific sub-sectors assigned to you. Facilitating strategic discussions with clients and exploring beyond-banking initiatives. Keeping active connections with other ING departments such as Corporate Finance, Lending, Loan Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets, Transaction Services, and Risk Management. Proactively identifying opportunities and transactions, contributing to the team's origination efforts through sector analyses, presentations, and pitch materials. Leading responses to RfPs. Generating business flow and deal opportunities while ensuring timely and high-quality customer due diligence and transaction execution. Structuring deals and overseeing negotiations where ING acts as the lead arranger. Mentoring team members and Lending bankers on financial modeling, credit analysis, rating profiles, and peer group assessments while managing credit applications. Evaluating industry reports and conducting due diligence on clients within a dynamic sector. Directing balance sheet distribution and coordinating transactions. Training and supervising Associates and Analysts within the team. Monitoring portfolio management and KYC activities for your clients.Work Environment:

Ideal Candidate:
You are an experienced Vice President. A highly motivated professional with a Master's degree and excellent academic credentials. At least 7 years of relevant experience. Relationship-focused, people-oriented, and adept at building connections. Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and commercial insight, with a solid understanding of credit risk and the ability to foster relationships with ING clients and industry professionals. A strong communicator and effective team player. A proactive individual with a strong personal drive and high self-motivation. Familiarity with ING's Wholesale Banking product suite, competitive positioning, and market appetite. Affinity for the sector, ideally with prior experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industries. Strong project and time management abilities, capable of performing under pressure and tight deadlines. International experience and cultural awareness.What We Offer:

Job Role:
We offer a position as a Vice President (Coverage Banker IV) but are open to considering a more experienced candidate at a higher level. This is a full-time role for 40 hours a week, based in Amsterdam.
