Mechanical Engineer Shipbuilding

Damen Shipyards is een toonaangevend bedrijf in de maritieme sector dat gespecialiseerd is in het ontwerp, de productie en verkoop van scheepswerven, modulaire droogdokken, modulaire pontons, pontons & barges, en HDPE-vaartuigen voor klanten wereldwijd. Onze afdeling Engineering is verantwoordelijk voor het omzetten van het initiële ontwerp van de D&P van de Productgroep naar een documentatiepakket, op basis waarvan schepen wereldwijd worden gebouwd.
Verantwoordelijkheden- Leiden van de mechanische ontwerp- en engineeringaspecten van onze projecten;
- Uitvoeren van basis- en detailengineering;
- Zorgdragen voor naleving van industrienormen en regelgeving;
- Monitoren van de voortgang van het werk (engineering) en, indien nodig, aanpassingen doorvoeren om ervoor te zorgen dat projecten op tijd worden voltooid;
- Uitvoeren van complexe berekeningen, zoals belasting/vermogen, sterkte- en stroomberekeningen binnen het mechanische engineeringveld;
- Coördineren van werkzaamheden met de Engineering Project Manager
- Minimaal 1 jaar ervaring bij voorkeur binnen soortgelijke functies in een technische en industriële omgeving;
- Een bachelor- of masterdiploma in Maritieme Techniek, Werktuigbouwkunde, Scheepsbouwkunde, Mechatronica of Civiele Techniek of een relevant gelijkwaardig diploma;
- Vaardigheid in engineeringsoftware zoals Solidworks, Cadmatic (+Hull), Siemens NX, Enovia, AutoCAD, en meer;
- Uitgebreide kennis van mechanische systemen die worden gebruikt bij de bouw van schepen;
- Sterke organisatorische en projectmanagementvaardigheden (gericht op engineering);
- Ervaring met normen en regelgeving in de maritieme sector;
- Vermogen om zowel zelfstandig als in een team te werken;
- Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal;
- Beschikbaarheid van 32-40 uur per week
