Job Title: Maintenance Lead - Hydrogen Production

Shell is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead to join our team at the Holland Hydrogen 1 asset, a groundbreaking large-scale Green Hydrogen electrolysis facility in Europe. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our process facilities, safety systems, and utilities.

Job Purpose and Accountabilities

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for leading the maintenance team to deliver and operate a safe and highly reliable but flexible asset. This includes:

  • Developing and executing maintenance plans and schedules
  • Coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and effective maintenance
  • Providing training and development opportunities for maintenance team members
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
Dimensions

The Holland Hydrogen 1 project is a first-of-its-kind facility, with new technologies and suppliers. As a Maintenance Lead, you will be part of a small team with a diverse range of skills and expertise. You will work closely with the operations and maintenance team to ensure the successful start-up and operation of the asset.

The asset requires a wide variety of 'second skills' maintenance capabilities within the team. Specifically, we are looking to develop several team members with a background (or interest) in Quality Measurement Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Process Control (PAC), and Rotating Equipment.

Requirements

We are looking for a self-driven individual with a passion for developing their skills within Energy Transition technology. You will have a broad understanding of operations and maintenance, with experience in commissioning and start-up of assets. You will also have:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Experience with digital operational environments and automation
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
