Transforming Terminal Operations

APM Terminals, a division of A.P. Moller-Maersk, is a leader in developing and operating ports and container terminals. As a Strategic Finance Partner for Global Terminal Operations, you will play a critical role in driving our ambition to be the world's best terminal company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Business Implementation and Functional Heads of Design & Engineering, Project Execution, and Business Integration, providing financial decision support and challenging business feasibility to drive future performance.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, standard procedures, and guidelines within the area of responsibility, including financial management and reporting.
  • Ensure project governance principles, including contingency management, are followed, and global- and project authority matrixes are adhered to.
  • Manage a team of direct Finance Business Partner resources and indirect resources via a global service center, developing talent and ensuring engagement.

Requirements

  • BS degree in finance, accounting, or business economics.
  • 7+ years of experience in large-scale and/or integrated projects, developing business cases and financial models.
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Controlling, or Consultancy roles.
  • Strategic mindset, able to contribute to strategy definition and translate high-level strategy into practical implementation.
  • Entrepreneurial drive to explore and materialize business opportunities.
  • Stakeholder management skills, able to engage all levels of the business.
  • Change management skills, understanding the principles and actions underpinning successful implementation of change.
  • Analytical skills, able to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions.
  • Management skills, able to manage a team over different locations, keeping them aligned and engaged.
