Key Responsibilities:

In the role of Business Development Manager, you will lead our initiatives in identifying and securing business opportunities, particularly in the realm of custom-designed test units for green hydrogen technologies, including PEM, Alkaline, AEM, AEL, and Solid Oxide, with a primary focus on PEM. Leveraging your extensive industry experience, you will translate Avantium's innovative technologies into market opportunities, crafting tailored solutions for our global clientele.

  • Formulate strategic account plans to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Generate and manage leads, negotiating to successful conclusions.
  • Establish and nurture high-level relationships within the industry, influencing key stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Conduct market analyses and negotiate contracts, emphasizing our offerings in electrolysis and related technologies.
  • Report directly to the Director of Strategic Developments.

Qualifications:

This position is ideal for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in a client-facing role within the chemical or renewables sector.
  • Background in sales of custom-designed laboratory equipment.
  • Strong commercial insight and consultative selling abilities.
  • Excellent networking, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
