Project Financial Controller

About the Role
Fugro is seeking a skilled Project Controller to join their team in Nootdorp, The Netherlands. As a Project Controller, you will be responsible for the financial control of external and internal projects, delivering accurate and timely analysis and reporting on project performance.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Proactively initiate and maintain project budgets with Project Managers, challenging assumptions and monitoring actual versus budget;
- Deliver timely project results for monthly and quarterly reports, including project forecasts and early warnings on financial risks and results;
- Collect, monitor, and analyze financial and project data to identify improvements and trends;
- Develop and implement procedures and processes to increase efficiency;
- Control and monitor project processes and documents, including finance, tax, compliance, purchasing, subcontracts, audits, insurance, and project risks;
- Provide ad hoc reporting to management, business control, and other stakeholders;
- Participate in project audits and communicate results and improvement suggestions.
Your Qualifications
- BSc. degree in a relevant discipline, such as Economics or Business Administration;
- 3+ years' relevant project experience, with affinity for financial topics and project risks, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Navision;
- Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels and a strong command of the English language;
- Persistent and proactive in pursuing financial project information;
- A team player with well-developed analytical skills.
