Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cable Installation Engineer to support our 2GW HVDC grid expansion projects. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical expertise to ensure the successful development and implementation of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice to project managers on permits, planning, and construction.
- Participate in route development and advise on technical solutions.
- Optimize routes and installations to minimize ecological impact.
- Inspect potential building sites.
- Prepare and negotiate technical tenders for planning and construction.
- Review documents from subcontractors and other third parties.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with other projects.
- Ensure compliance with permits, specifications, and regulations.
Requirements
- Completed studies in civil engineering or comparable field.
- Several years of experience in a comparable position, with knowledge of cable construction sites, horizontal directional drilling, and HVDC systems.
- Knowledge of international standards and guidelines in high voltage cables and/or experience with ampacity calculations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to express opinions and take responsibility.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
