At Jan Luyken Hotel Amsterdam, we redefine the art of hospitality by crafting an environment that mirrors the familiarity and comfort found in a close friend's home. As a Guest Experience Ambassador, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our unique brand of hospitality and guest experience.

This role is perfect for individuals who possess exceptional people skills - warm, open, and welcoming. You should be enthusiastic about the city of Amsterdam and all the culture it has to offer. As a trainee, you will be assigned to a wide range of tasks so you can learn as much as possible. You will, of course, be coached throughout your internship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the team: Ensuring our hotel runs smoothly from an operational perspective.
  • Guest Services: Serving as the primary point of contact for guests, offering information for a comfortable stay. From local recommendations to directions and restaurant bookings, you make sure their needs are met.
  • Collaboration with fellow hosts: Supporting and collaborating closely with fellow hosts to enhance the guest experience.
  • Attending to guests' needs: Providing help and support whenever required, going the extra mile to ensure their satisfaction and comfort.
  • Presentation of the hotel: Taking ownership of presenting our hotel in its best light, maintaining the approved appearance and standards.
  • Bringing the brand to life: Bringing to life the unique hospitality and culture of our brand, ensuring that every interaction reflects the experience of staying at a close friend's home.
  • Making guests feel at ease: Going above and beyond to make guests feel at ease and truly at home during their stay.
  • Feedback collection: Checking in with guests, seeking their valuable feedback to improve our services.

You Are:

  • Easy-going and friendly: With a warm and friendly disposition.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A team player, but also able to work independently.
  • Flexible.
  • Takes initiative.
  • Eager to learn and enthusiastic about the role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English. Basic understanding of French, German, or Spanish is a plus.
  • Lives in the Amsterdam area.
