This will be achieved through targeted savings initiatives, optimization of specific supply chains, global standardization, and the establishment of a future-ready operational model.

Your responsibilities will involve supporting the program team for Purchasing with Impact, which includes a program manager overseeing the daily execution of the initiative. The program manager is aided by various workstream leaders, each responsible for different sub-areas of the overall program. Throughout your assignment, you will engage in various initiatives for different team members, collaborating with professionals from diverse backgrounds such as procurement, supply chain management, consultancy, and finance.


Vanderlande is conveniently located, making it accessible from multiple surrounding areas.

Role Description

This working student position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience with a significant impact in a multinational organization. Vanderlande is transitioning from an engineering-to-order (ETO) model to a configure-to-order (CTO) approach. This shift is expected to create synergies and economies of scale, enhancing value for our customers through improved quality and competitive pricing. You will play a crucial role in this program, contributing to the transformation of our purchasing organization to better support the transition from ETO to CTO by unlocking enhanced pricing and lead times.

Key Responsibilities

This student assignment will focus on assisting the program team in achieving their objectives across various workstreams, which may include workshop facilitation and PMO-related activities concerning savings and cost tracking.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management, reporting, and global consolidation of key performance indicators (KPIs) across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
  • Analytical tasks such as data preparation, analysis, insight development, and reporting of findings.
  • Program Management Office duties, including the creation of program communications and leading workshops in the Purchasing with Impact domain.
  • Project management of smaller digital initiatives, such as spend analytics and supplier delivery performance dashboards.

Desired Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI is essential; familiarity with Smartsheet and Jira is advantageous.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach are crucial.
Employment Conditions
  • Assignment duration of at least 3 months.
  • Work hours ranging from 32 to 40 hours per week.
  • Hourly compensation of €15.
  • 10% holiday hours included.
  • 8.33% holiday allowance.
  • Weekly payment through Olympia.
