About the Job

The position of Global Head of E-Commerce Sales is responsible for developing a comprehensive blueprint for e-commerce sales drivers, including assortment, availability, pricing, and margin optimization. The successful candidate will establish a standardized digital maturity level across countries, collaborate with local e-commerce leaders to develop strategies per sales driver, identify current status quo, and bring them to the level of the most advanced/best-performing country.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging advanced analytics to monitor key commercial metrics, such as assortment performance, pricing effectiveness, availability rates, attach rates, and margin.
  • Providing regular reports and insights to senior management, highlighting areas of opportunity and risk.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to ensure e-commerce strategies align with overall business objectives.
  • Increasing profitability of the digital sales channel.
  • Understanding and harmonizing operational e-commerce profit and loss (P&L).
  • Crafting a margin improvement strategy and monitoring product margins across all digital channels to ensure pricing strategies and promotions align with profitability goals.
  • Analyzing and advising on product mix, pricing, and promotional activities to optimize margin performance.
  • Developing and executing strategies to increase the attach rate of complementary products and services to enhance overall transaction value.
  • Developing and executing strategies to decrease costs of digital sales operations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, or a related commercial role within a retail environment, preferably in consumer electronics.
  • A proven track record in managing key commercial drivers such as assortment, pricing, and margin in a global context.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making, including the use of analytics tools and techniques to optimize e-commerce performance.
  • Expertise in assortment planning, pricing strategy, and availability management.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics platforms and tools to drive insights and decision-making.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies to senior stakeholders.
