Job Title: Director of Global Credit

LyondellBasell is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Global Credit to lead our credit risk management team. As a key member of our Commercial organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit teams based in Houston, Rotterdam, Hong Kong, Shanghai, India, Mexico, and Brazil.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers' financial health and risk profiles.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial organization to elevate customer experience, mitigate risks, and contribute to the enhancement of LyondellBasell's working capital.
  • Lead the technology and digitalization enhancement for the credit organization.
  • Manage the GLOBAL Credit teams to support our business activities.
  • Supervise and continuously train the team of Business Credit Analysts and Credit Liaisons/Collectors in order to ensure proper risk management and to allow for the exploitation of business opportunities.
  • Act as internal focal point for all credit related matters in the GLOBAL region and will advise the business organizations on actions to be taken in order to improve customers' risk/return profiles.
  • Travel will be required to visit key customers and discuss all finance-related matters with the customer's senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' relevant experience in credit risk management.
  • Excellent people management skills and ability to strike the right balance between managing financial risk and enabling business opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required to interact with customers, sales personnel, and commercial and industry contacts.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with Business, Product, and Sales groups.
