About the Role

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor, Field Service to strengthen our Electron Microscopy Service organization in the Be Ne Lux region.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide Strong Leadership: Manage and lead a regional service team to achieve excellence and ensure customer satisfaction.
  2. Implement Performance Management: Efficiently implement performance management and development initiatives to drive team success.
  3. Foster Teamwork and Innovation: Lead regular team meetings, guarantee internal communication, and coordinate with sales and service teams.
  4. Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Handle critical customer communication, participate in customer meetings, and guarantee world-class service delivery.
  5. Health and Safety Protocols: Ensure all team members strictly follow health and safety protocols.
  6. Coordinate Training: Plan and prepare technical and non-technical training for team members.
  7. Support Regional Service Manager: Assist the regional service manager in various capacities, including planning installations and coordinating with account managers and regional experts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical or scientific field (engineering or physics preferred).
  • Experience and Skills: Shown experience with TEM, SEM/SDB, or XPS products, or eagerness to be trained; experience as a Field Service/Support Engineer or Supervisor in a high-tech environment; valid driving license.
  • Proficiencies: Technical competence equivalent to an Engineer II, Field Service; excellent interpersonal skills in English and preferably local language; highly organized with strong administrative skills; proven track record in team leading; customer-centric approach; ability to set priorities and handle stressful situations effectively; demonstrated leadership and mentor abilities; strong negotiation skills and a commercial approach; challenges the status quo and seeks opportunities for improvement; detailed process knowledge and understanding of the service offerings; basic understanding of legal frameworks.
