Marketplace Key Account Lead

Job Mission:

As a key member of the New Balance team, the Marketplace Key Account Lead will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our dedicated digital marketplace accounts. Reporting to the Marketplace Manager, this position will be responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical decisions to align with our wholesale and merchandising teams on commercial objectives and partnering with IT, Marketplaces Operations, and Customer Service teams on technical requirements for marketplace operations.

Major Accountabilities:
  • Manage existing marketplace accounts and drive brand-driven growth through these channels.
  • Drive day-to-day actions, serving as the primary point of contact for dedicated marketplaces and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Identify marketplace opportunities, assess commercial viability, and prioritize projects accordingly while managing long-term strategic growth of dedicated marketplaces.
  • Liaise closely with EMEA wholesale teams to ensure alignment with overall strategies.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to evaluate stock opportunities and product ranging for marketplaces.
  • Produce informative daily/weekly reports, marketing, and product performance.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and proactive analysis to deliver actionable insights and recommendations using all available data sources.
  • Lead forecasting process for dedicated marketplaces.
  • Work closely with Marketplaces Operations to ensure order fulfillment meets agreed performance/SLA's.
  • Work closely with Marketplaces Operations to ensure product go-live targets are met.
  • Identify marketing opportunities with partners and coordinate requirements to support campaign launches.
  • Develop project plans to track and monitor the launch of marketplace programs.
  • Actively seek opportunities to increase revenue.
Requirements for Success:
  • Relevant number of years of experience with marketplace and/or partner program operations.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in providing actionable insights and recommendations from reports and analysis.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with senior leaders with strong influencing skills.
  • Proactive mindset to understand available opportunities and business priorities.
  • Able and willing to travel on occasion.
  • Fluent in English, other European languages an advantage.
