Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounting to join our team at PropertyTalents. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the accounting function, managing financial reporting, and driving strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate financial statements in accordance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, manage, and monitor the annual budgeting process, providing detailed financial analysis and forecasting to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies.
  • Financial Controls: Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes, monitoring and improving financial systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants, creating a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with experience in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
