Job Title: Global Compliance Officer

At Yacht, we are seeking a highly skilled Global Compliance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Global Regulatory Monitoring and Interpretation: Stay up-to-date with the latest safety regulations and standards globally, and interpret and apply them to ensure compliance across all markets.
  • Safety and Regulatory Protocol Development: Create and implement comprehensive safety and regulatory protocols, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Training and Deployment: Train internal teams and stakeholders on safety and regulatory protocols, and deploy them effectively across all business units.
  • Leadership and Representation: Lead important turnaround projects in product compliance and market access on a global scale, and represent the company at industry associations and regulatory bodies.
  • Product Safety and Compliance Management: Lead the team responsible for ensuring all branded household appliances meet safety and compliance standards, and act as the go-to person for any compliance and safety issues.
  • Strategic and Competitive Monitoring: Monitor the competitive landscape to ensure initiatives and internal requirements align with consumer and user expectations, and stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for safety and compliance initiatives, and build and maintain strong connections with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Quality Management System Oversight: Represent the company as the legal manufacturer within the certified Quality Management System, and ensure that domestic appliances manufactured and placed on the market comply with this system.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Law, or a related field with a focus on safety and compliance.
  • Minimum of 20 years in regulatory compliance, safety management, or a related field within the home appliances industry.
  • Proven competence in risk assessment, management, and mitigation, as well as experience in reporting safety incidents and managing product recalls.
  • Strong leadership with project management skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, and a deep understanding of global safety regulations and standards, particularly within the EU.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements, and well-connected within the industry and regulatory bodies.
