We are seeking a dedicated Rental & Repair Technician to join our dynamic team at Kongsberg Maritime in The Netherlands.

As a Rental & Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in our expanding Rental & Repair department located in Spijkenisse, The Netherlands. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver comprehensive in-house technical assistance for the diverse range of Kongsberg Discovery products utilized by our clients in the Benelux region. A solid understanding of electrical and electronic systems is essential, along with the ability to apply this knowledge practically to maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on various Kongsberg Discovery products. Additionally, you will be expected to manage administrative and reporting tasks effectively.

In this role, you will engage in maintenance, testing, and preparation of Kongsberg Discovery equipment within our workshop. If you possess technical qualifications in hydrographic or related systems, or have equivalent hands-on experience, we would like to hear from you. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-house testing, inspection, and repair of rental or customer equipment returned for evaluation or service.
  • Ensure rental equipment is maintained in optimal working condition.
  • Verify the scope of delivery and returns before and after rental, following established checklists and assessing physical condition.
  • Track the status of customer repair jobs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is recorded in service databases.
  • Maintain and organize a clean workshop, external storage facilities, and tools & equipment.
  • Assist the Rental & Repair team with order processing tasks.
  • Prepare documentation and reporting as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree in Electro/Hydrography/Subsea systems, or relevant experience that compensates for formal education.
  • Interest in hydrographic products and systems.
  • General proficiency in computer and network systems, including data communication.
  • Strong administrative and reporting capabilities.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
