In-House Equipment Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Rental & Repair Technician to join our expanding team in The Netherlands.

As a Rental & Repair Technician, you will be an integral part of our dynamic Rental & Repair team based in Spijkenisse, The Netherlands. Your role will involve providing comprehensive in-house technical support for the diverse range of Kongsberg Discovery products utilized by our customers in the Benelux region. A solid understanding of electrical and electronic systems is essential, as you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various KD products, while also managing administrative and reporting tasks.

In this position, you will conduct maintenance, testing, and preparation activities for Kongsberg Discovery equipment within our workshop. If you possess technical qualifications in hydrographic or related systems, or have equivalent practical experience, you are the ideal candidate. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-house testing, inspection, and repair of rental or customer equipment returned for evaluation or service.
• Ensure rental equipment is maintained in optimal working condition.
• Verify the scope of delivery/returns before and after rental using a checklist, assessing physical condition.
• Track the status of customer repair jobs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data entry in service databases.
• Maintain and organize a clean workshop, external storage facilities, and tools & equipment.
• Assist the Rental & Repair team with order processing tasks.
• Engage in documentation and reporting activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• A degree in Electro/Hydrography/Subsea systems, or relevant experience that compensates for formal education.
• Interest in hydrographic products.
• General knowledge of computer and network systems/data communication.
• Natural aptitude for administrative and reporting tasks.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
