The Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications and Public Relations Manager to join our team.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to support the Faculty's Communications and Public Relations Team in planning, developing and implementing corporate communications strategies for brand promotion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement various corporate and PR events, including summits, ceremonies, seminars, workshops, press conferences, guest visits, partnership development events, and other activities.
  • Provide full-range support on event management, including organisation, communication, logistics, coordination among event teams, on-site assistance, catering, vendor/supplier selection and management, budgeting, and handling patron inquiries.
  • Develop story angles and key messages, handle media inquiries, and maintain positive relationships with the media and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
  • Create, implement, and optimise digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and search engine marketing.
  • Generate content and manage both online and offline communication materials, such as speeches, press releases, eDMs, presentations, booklets, videos, and multimedia posts for various social media platforms to engage target audiences.
  • Measure and report the performance of all marketing campaigns, assess against goals such as ROI and KPIs, identify opportunities for improvement, optimise campaigns, and consolidate insights and best practices.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a good Bachelor's degree and about 4 years' full-time work experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), outstanding organisational, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills, a high level of computer literacy, and the ability to multitask under pressure, work well both independently and in a team, as well as work with people from a broad range of backgrounds internally and externally.
