Job Overview

Eneco, a leader in the energy transition, seeks an experienced Cloud Platform Director to drive the transition towards a Platform setup and lead the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Platform Team. As a key member of the Chief Digital Office, you will shape cross-functional teams, foster a robust engineering culture, and define technical direction for tooling, platforms, and technologies tailored to Eneco's needs.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Eneco's mission: climate neutrality by 2035. As Cloud Platform Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of Cloud and DevOps Engineers, defining technical strategies, collaborating with Product Managers, and driving product transformation. Your key objectives include:

• Team Leadership: Manage and expand a team of Cloud and DevOps Engineers as the team's scope expands and transitions towards a Platform setup.
• Technical Strategy: Define and execute technical strategies that support the goals and challenges of different Product Families across Eneco.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers to ensure technical solutions are aligned with business needs, fostering a collaborative environment between teams.

Expected Impact & Deliverables:

• Drive Product Transformation: Lead the transition from project-based work to a product-centric approach, improving release processes, system monitoring, and scalability.
• Optimize Tools & Processes: Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of DevOps practices and tools across the organization to support faster delivery and higher quality.
• Support Eneco's Mission: Contribute to the internationalization, scaling, and professionalization of VPP services, playing a key role in Eneco's Energy Transition efforts.

About You

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about technology, teamwork, and making a tangible difference in the Energy Transition. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• DevOps Expertise: Proven experience in DevOps practices and tools, such as Azure DevOps, CICD pipelines, Azure Cloud, Terraform, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Argo CD, Helm, and Grafana.
• Leadership Skills: Strong experience leading and mentoring technical teams, with a focus on delivering results, fostering collaboration, and developing talent.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to set and communicate a clear technical vision that aligns with business goals, while understanding the diverse needs of different Product Families.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work effectively with Product Managers and other teams.

Benefits

Gross annual salary between €91,000 and €140,000, including Flex Budget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role, a bonus or collective profit sharing. We also offer hybrid working, with 40% time spent in the office and 40% at home, flexible schedule, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
