Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: EMEA

Reports to: European Regional Controller or Financial Controller

Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting operations of Thermon, including the preparation of periodic financial reports. This role supports the execution of all financial-related activities and ensures that reported results comply with US generally accepted accounting principles or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Maintain an orderly accounting system and accounting filing system.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and reconciliations.
  • Execute the month-end closing process for the Dutch entity.
  • Assist in preparing timely and complete financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure proper margin analysis.
  • Support the Operations team with financial information.
  • Distribute internal reports to affiliates.
  • Assist European affiliates with financial issues.
  • Responsible for VAT and CBS declarations.
  • Support the European Regional Controller with departmental/financial matters.

Qualifications

  • A locally respected (Accounting-) degree (MBO+ in NL) or equivalent combination of education and proven work experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant all-round accounting experience in an international, industrial environment.
  • Required experience with Dynamics AX 2012 or Dynamics 365.
  • Strong preference with One stream.
  • Responsibility for and actively execute the month-end closing process for a Dutch entity.
  • Strong preference proven track record working in a project organization (both Time & materials - and lumpsum contracts).
  • Strong preference working with SOX controls.
