Mechanical Engineering Internship: Redesigning the Auxiliary Compartment

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering graduate to join our team as an intern. As a member of our Development & Engineering sector, you will have the opportunity to work on a challenging project that involves redesigning the Auxiliary Compartment of our lithography machines.
Background InformationOur Development & Engineering sector is responsible for the specification, design, and realization of all products in the ASML portfolio. Within this sector, the Mechanical Development cluster is responsible for the definition, realization, and qualification of mechanical modules and subsystems. As a part of this cluster, the group Mechanical Constructions is responsible for engineering main frame constructions and structures, in-build service mechanisms, outer covers, and system-to-fab interfaces.
Your AssignmentYour primary responsibility will be to conduct a feasibility study on the redesigning of the Auxiliary Compartment frame. This will involve investigating the background of the current design, updating the requirements, defining new concepts, organizing a decision-making session with stakeholders, sketching the solution in Siemens NX, elaborating the chosen solution, and drawing conclusions and recommendations.
Your ProfileTo be a successful candidate, you should have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, affinity with mechanical design, preferably in NX CAD, a solution-oriented mindset, and good communication skills in English. This is a graduation internship for 5 days a week with a duration of 5 to 9 months. The start date is between mid-August and October.
