What to expect
The Conference & Events department creates unforgettable events for companies and individuals. With 20 different banqueting rooms, 300 hotel rooms, 5 restaurants, 2 bars and the Nagomi Spa and Health you can ensure that every wish of our guest is fulfilled. The department is therefore very creative in finding a solution for every wish and requirement of our guests. From organizing congresses, seminars, benefit galas, fashion shows to intimate dinners or extravagant weddings, no day or event is the same with us
As a Conferences & Events Representative, you are responsible for planning, organizing unique and memorable events at Hotel Okura Amsterdam. Your responsibilities include booking, preparing and executing conferences and events, leading to the monthly and annual sales target. Your main tasks will be:
Maintaining contact with potential guests; Responding to incoming sales enquiries, both internal and external; Contracting bookings; Planning all logistical details; Preparing function sheets and communicating all logistical details to other departments to ensure for a successful event;Don't worry, you will not be working alone Besides working with your team, you will also work closely with other departments in the hotel. Only by working together can we achieve the best results. You will work from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 – 17:00. You are also expected to be present from time to time for projects and networking events.

Contract: 1 year, with the possibility of extending. We want you to stay Salary: Group 5. Click for the salary scale Bonus: 1 week salary if SMART goals are met Travel Costs: From 10 KM travelling distance Holidays: 25 vacation days based on a full time contract with 7 day National holiday compensation. CAO: The Uniform Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry.Extensive development opportunities to improve day by day. We offer an online e-learning system with more than 300+ courses. Moreover, we offer specific courses from our Training Manager, such as: Lean White Belt Training and the Extraordinary Guest Experiences training; Room to share initiatives, ideas and improvements, based on the Lean philosophy. Doesn't matter if you have worked with us for a week, month or year: We want to hear your thoughts; Once per year 50% staff discount in one of our restaurants (lucky you); The whole year round 20% staff discounts in one of our restaurants; Great staff events (annual staff party, Sinterklaas, team outings, bootcamp); Depending on your position, you will receive a uniform or dry-cleaning reimbursement; Parking facilities for management positions; Vitality days and monthly health days; Possibility to do cross trainings to learn more about other departments, for example, take a look at the Japanese kitchen; Employee of the month: receive € 100, - net, a stay in the hotel with a dinner in Serre Restaurant; Employee of the Year: Receive a complete trip to Japan
