Our client is aleading and established influential global fashion label, housingits European base in the vibrant city of Amsterdam and known forits commitment to exceptional design and quality craftsmanship.They take pride in creating fashion-forward pieces that resonatewith a diverse clientele and set new industry trends. The divisionis targeted toward a youthful audience and embraces a street style.You will report to the Senior Designer, collaborating on the designand development of Accessories. Additionally you will support onvarious Footwear projects.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Designing and supporting on handbags and small leathergoods (SLG’s), guided by the Senior designer.
  • Researching trends and concepts in order to bringinnovation and functionality to the collection.
  • Full understanding of technical design and construction,to support technical specifications for the vendors.
  • Being flexible and able to work on multiple seasons atonce.
  • Support the team on Illustrator, CADs ofbags and small leather goods.
  • Generatingboards of apparel prints and colours each season and keeping theseup to date.
  • Generating digital Designoverviews of bags, and small leather goods and keeping them updatedat all times.
  • Assisting design team withdesign modifications after each development stage.
  • Preparing digital and hard copies of seasonal colourcards and supporting the design teams with presentationpreparations.

TheIdeal Candidate:

  • Fashion design degree, ideally in accessories design orproduct design.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years ofaccessories design work experience.
  • Expertiseon Illustrator is a must.
  • Able to provideproduct direction and make product decisions.
  • In depth knowledge of colour, concept, materials andtrends specifically tailored to the accessories markets.
  • Ability to work in creative environment, to handlepressure, to work on multiple tasks under tight deadlines yet ableto provide high quality work result.
  • Strongdigital sketching skills with understanding of scale andperspective.
  • Strong team player, yet able towork independently when needed.
  • Embrace thehands on, active, problem solving, open minded, dynamic, fun andfast pace environment.
  • Not a 9 to 5 mentality,especially at peak design time.
  • Fluent inEnglish, excellent communication written and verbal.
