Legal Tech Engineer

About the position

As a Legal Tech Engineer, you will be part of the Legal Operations department and form a bridge between legal and technology. Your role is to closely follow legal tech developments and find solutions to improve and/or automate our legal processes. Always in close cooperation with our lawyers and clients to guarantee the best result.

We offer you a very diverse position in which you will be involved in a wide range of projects and topics, such as AI, knowledge management, document automation, client portals, etc. Your role will consist of:

Provide advice and support for both our lawyers and clients on how to optimise the processes in their matter by deploying the right tools; Manage and further develop these tools and processes, together with our suppliers and the practice, to ensure that we always provide the best possible solution; Collaborate with lawyers, clients and colleagues from other areas of expertise and departments (e.g., data science, IT etc.) to map legal processes, identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement, and propose concrete solutions; Investigate the opportunities of new technological developments for our practice, e.g., in legal tech, AI, knowledge management and data science; Stimulate the use of tools and new ways of working in our organisation, including giving presentations on the possibilities and providing training for users.

- are assertive and proactive, are always thinking about the question behind the question, and you actively share your advice, ideas or concerns.

The ideal candidate for this position has the following qualifications:

- Experience with legal tech and process improvements;

- Experience or affinity with legal tech and a strong interest in developing further in this area;

- Bachelor's or master's degree in law, or work experience in a legal environment;

- A good command of the Dutch and English language.
