As an Account Manager for Asphalt Europe, your primary responsibility is to deliver the short- and long-term sales and profitability targets for the Asphalt Business within your assigned territory. You will manage customer relationships, develop and execute strategies, and ensure that the business goals align with annual budgets and strategic growth plans. You will report to the Global Sales Manager.

In your role as an Account Manager for Asphalt Europe, you'll identify new growth opportunities across various sales channels, contributing significantly to our Asphalt sales growth in your territory. By transforming innovative ideas into actionable plans, you'll meet emerging customer needs and give input for new product development. Your will lead contract negotiations and foster strong, multi-level relationships with key customer stakeholders. Additionally, you'll ensure management is kept informed of all key account activities through effective internal communication.

 In your future role as Account manager Asphalt Europe, you will

Assess an understand the market needs, development and trends, competition, solutions, and products in the Asphalt markets. Leads regional planning (forecasting), pricing and contract negotiations. Communicates trends, opportunities, and risks clearly and in a timely manner with the sales leader Identify, assess, and develop potential new businesses. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term overall account goals in line with Nouryon’s vision and values. Achieve annual sales results and business growth versus an annual plan from the established markets and identify new growth areas. Establish and build senior-level relationships with key decision makers and buyers throughout the industry. Understand and assess customers’ needs, business objectives, strategies and build compelling customer value propositions representing our portfolio. Be present at key market Seminars, Conferences, Exhibitions and set a strategy together with Marketing and the Global Sales Manager on participation, presentations, etc. Establish/retain close relationships and teamwork with other members of the European and Global Sales teams, Technical Support and Customer Service.

 We believe you bring

Bachelor/ Master degree, preferably in Chemistry, (Civil) Engineering, and/or related field. Background with Sales and/or technical customer support experience in Chemical industry and preferably road paving/ asphalt industry for at least 5 years. Senior level connection in the Asphalt market is a preference. Fluent in English language, German is a plus. Strong Financial and Business Acumen.

Great if you have /are

Positive mind set and attitude, willing to learn new things. Result oriented. Excellent communicator and problem solver. Familiar with commercial tools (Planning tool Arkieva, Microsoft CRM…) Willingness to travel (20-40%). Very strong in networking and interpersonal skills with customers but also internally.
