Your Role:

As Team Lead Ocean & Air freight EMEA you are responsible for a team of transport coordinators that organize reliable and efficient transport to our customers overseas. On the operational level you and your team will allocate the materials to the correct orders and work together with your peers in China, America, India, and Japan in solving issues. On the tactical level you and your team will be responsible for managing the carriers and the delivery reliability for ocean and air freight. As a team lead you will be executing part of these activities yourself and support your team in the execution of their role. Next to these responsibilities you will manage and execute projects in line with your personal growth ambition and our supply chain strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • People management: You will be responsible for the performance and development of a team of 3-4 transport coordinators.
  • Transport planning: Creation of deliveries that are forwarded to Envaliors contracted carriers in collaboration with our logistic service providers.
  • Transport coordination: In case of transport related issues, you or one of your team members needs to step in and resolve the issue at hand in collaboration with our suppliers and your peers in customer service, supply planning and warehousing.
  • Performance management: Report and manage the performance on “On Time” deliveries for all ocean & air freight outside of Europe and coach your team members to do this for their respective area of responsibility.
  • Supplier management: Report and manage the performance of the carriers in your domain, execute performance review meetings with suppliers and address and improve performance in case this performance is under target.
  • Improving transport: Analyse your portfolio, look for and act on improvement opportunities and report out to the logistics management team.
  • Improvement projects: You will execute improvement projects in line with your personal growth ambition and Envaliors supply chain strategy.
  • Display and support positive behavior towards safety, health and environment and participate in events improving safety.

Requirements

  • A MSc or experienced BSc in supply chain management, economics, or a similar field.
  • Experience with logistics processes, especially air freight or ocean freight is a plus.
  • Proven communication skills as you will be dealing with suppliers and a large and global group of stakeholders and peers.
  • A learning and pro-active mindset.
  • A hands-on attitude and strong sense of ownership.
  • A team player that will collaborate across the functions.
